The learning-simulation is a computer -based resource management game that is used as a training aid within an interactive workshop. Delegates experience a virtual world where they have to negotiate, work together and think strategically.

Delegates realise how decisions they make will affect social progress, the environment and the economy.

planit-sustainability encourages players to realise how decisions they make will affect social progress, the environment and the economy. The interconnectedness of the problem is explained in the learning-simulation in a way not possible with traditional learning approaches.

“Highlighted the interrelated nature of activity
and the need to work in an integrated way”

planit-sustainability consists of a scene (main menu) displaying eight buildings that represent the ‘powers that be’ in the area, with purchasing facilities and fixed budgets. Each building has a target that helps the overall well-being of the community. The actions of one building can impact on the other, just like the real world.

It is motivational and fun experience with very serious benefits.

planit-sustainability is a highly interactive learning-simulation with background information and help on every screen. The main menu is dynamic and changes in accordance with the player’s actions. Immediate feedback is given, not only through the main menu but also through numerical overall scores, report screens.
